What sets the price of a personal colour analysis in Seoul
The same hour under the same lights sells from about ₩89,000 to ₩260,000 in Seoul. Six things account for the gap — session length, language, group size, what you take away, whether styling or a photo shoot is bundled, and the studio's diagnostic system — and none of them is accuracy.
Last checked: Published:
Eight personal colour sessions at seven Seoul studios were published at ₩89,000 to ₩260,000 in September 2026 (K-Beauty Station; the table is in personal colour analysis in Seoul compared). Personal colour analysis has no licence, no standard protocol and no external check on the result, so studios cannot compete on certified accuracy and compete instead on what surrounds the diagnosis. The gap decomposes into six components.
| Component | Cheaper end | Dearer end | Typical effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session length | 30–50 min published (Ohn Studio’s entry level 30 min; Mood Collect White 50 min) | 1–1.5 hrs published (Parkjun BeautyLAB); bundled packages run past two hours | Longer sessions are described as adding drape rounds and a makeup trial. Four of the eight listings publish a duration, from 30 to 90 minutes, and four publish none — so this component comes partly from studio descriptions rather than from the listings |
| Language | Not stated on six of the seven studios’ listings | Ohn Studio states free interpretation in English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and Korean | Only one of the seven studios states its working languages at all, and no studio publishes an interpreter fee. Language is not visibly priced on any of these listings — ask in the messenger rather than reading it out of the price |
| Group size | Group or pair session, where the studio publishes one | One-to-one | Usually, but not always, cheaper per head. Mood Collect White lists ₩250,000 for two against ₩150,000 for one; Korea Fashion Psychology Institute lists ₩340,000 for 1:2 against ₩150,000 for 1:1, which is more than two singles |
| What you take away | A season name | Printed palette, fabric swatches, digital report, product list | Materials cost, and the report is the studio’s marketing |
| What is bundled | Analysis only (₩89,000–₩150,000 observed) | Analysis + makeup or hair styling (₩110,000–₩160,000); + profile photo shoot (₩260,000) | The bundle, not the analysis, is most of the top-end price |
| Diagnostic system | Four seasons | 12- or 16-type systems with sub-types | Finer systems take longer and are marketed as more precise; there is no external evidence they are more accurate |

What does not appear in the price
Accuracy. Two studios can drape the same person under different lights and reach different seasons, and neither is “wrong” by any external standard. Measurement conditions — lighting, the neutrality of the room, whether the client’s own makeup and hair colour are neutralised — move the result more than the price band does. What a session actually does, and what varies between studios: what happens in a Seoul personal colour session.
Reading a listing
Before comparing two prices, line up the six components. A ₩150,000 image-consulting session and a ₩150,000 analysis-only session are different products at the same price, and a ₩260,000 package is an analysis plus two other services, not an expensive analysis.
What each of the eight published prices actually buys, studio by studio.
| Studio | Listing | Price | Bundled with the analysis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ohn Studio | Personal Color | ₩89,000 | Nothing — draping only |
| Parkjun BeautyLAB Seongsu Perfume | Korean Makeup & Personal Color | ₩110,000 | Korean makeup |
| Color Signal | Personal Color Analysis | ₩150,000 | Nothing — analysis only |
| Mood Collect White Seongsu branch | Personal color | ₩150,000 | Makeup and skeletal diagnosis |
| Mood Collect White Gangnam branch | Personal color | ₩150,000 | Makeup and skeletal diagnosis |
| Korea Fashion Psychology Institute | Personal Color&Makeup&Consulting | ₩150,000 | Makeup and image consulting |
| DIONY | Personal Color Based 1:1 Customized Hair & Makeup | ₩160,000 | Hair and makeup |
| Ohn Studio | Premium Package | ₩260,000 | Hair, makeup and a profile photo shoot |
Everything above ₩150,000 here adds hair, makeup or a photo shoot; none of it buys more analysis.
Four of the eight listings in this set sit at exactly ₩150,000. They do not all buy the same thing. Color Signal sells an analysis alone, and Mood Collect White sells a 50-minute analysis with makeup at each of its two branches. Korea Fashion Psychology Institute sells the 1:1 tier of an image consultation, whose makeup and consulting components carry their own prices. One number, three different products. The price is the package, not the verdict.
Group size does not always work the way it reads. Four of the seven studios publish a price for more than one person, and three of those four work out cheaper per head; one does not. Which listings take two, and at what price: couple and group personal colour sessions in Seoul.

Frequently asked questions
How much does personal colour analysis cost in Seoul?
Published prices on one platform ran from ₩89,000 for analysis alone to ₩260,000 for a package with styling and a photo shoot, checked 16 September 2026. The gap is the package, not the accuracy.
What makes one session more expensive than another?
Session length, language, group size, what you take away, what is bundled with the analysis, and the diagnostic system the studio uses. None of these is an external measure of accuracy.
Is a more expensive analysis more accurate?
There is no licence, no standard protocol and no external check on the result, so price cannot signal accuracy. Lighting and the neutrality of the room move the result more than the price band does.
Does an English session cost more?
No studio publishes an interpreter fee, and only one of the seven states its working languages at all — Ohn Studio, which offers free interpretation in English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and Korean. The other six say nothing either way, so language is a question to ask in the messenger, not a line item you can read off the price.
